(tomorrow is "Boss' Day", if you're into fake holidays)
The bosses, and many coworkers, are out of the office today. Ahhhh. Not that anyone was putting any pressure on me. But you know how it is - there's a huge sense of freedom when the overlords are away.
I dunno what got into me last night but I hope some more kicks in tonight. I actually VACUUMED Not well, mind you, but I did it. Though the Dyson vacuum has terrible performance, and a physically painful high pitched whine, I have to admit that it's a lot easier to maneuver and, despite leaving tons of dirt in the carpet, is good for a "quick fix".
I really wish I could afford new carpet. Something that will not show cat barf soda stains so well. But it just keeps getting further further away.
Lessee... I also almost finished my laundry (as usual, just stacked the clean stuff instead of actually putting it away) dumped the trash (forgot to dump the cat litter - MUST do that tonight), consolidated various piles o crap into one, and burned 4 DVDs for DatingLA (now I just have to remember to mail them). Pretty productive night for me
Next hurdles are: Shredding, dump the recycling, and sorting books for donation to library, bookcrossings, G/L center, and the office book exchange shelves (most of my stuff isn't appropriate for that). Then... The spare room (dun-dun-duuuuunnn)... Though I'm not convinced that's going to happen in this lifetime.
The city was tearing up my street AGAIN today (for the 5th time). What a racket - and it started, in front of my house, at 7:15am. Per the workers, this should be the last time - today's project is prep the street in order to put down the smooth/final asphalt. I'll believe it when I see it.
So I guess that's all I have to talk about. Defnitely a "no news is good news" kind of day. I have an informal process validation to run so I guess I'll go get on that and get it out of the way.
